Hickson was born and raised in Harlem, New York. He received his Bachelors of science degree at The Fashion Institute of Technology in 1998, majoring in Advertising and Marketing Communications, with a background in fashion, Hickson worked as a Production Coordinator for a leading special events/fashion show production company; assisting in producing shows for major fashion designers. He created and founded ghettoheat, an independant publishing company on June 4th, 2003; producing his work with intentions to publish other talented authors in the near future.
