We find an excellent Christian novel in Monica P. Carter's, Sacrifice the One. This novel is set against the backdrop of rejection, rebellion, and redemption. In a life filled with pain, rejection, and anger Seta embarks on a journey of self destruction, turning her back on both God and the Church.
The Single Sister Experiment, by Mimi Jefferson. Three single, ambitious, party girls embark on a journey to give up the sex, and the party scene, for a life of Bible Study and Sunday Church. Follow these young women as they face the challenges of living their new lifestyle and confronting the demons of their past.
Chasing Faith, by Stephanie Perry Moore. Career Secret Service Agent, Christian Ware. Has made her way out of her drug plagued inner city neighborhood, to become a career woman in the service of her country. Living the good life and having a professional career, Christian is living the life. But behind the facade Christian is unhappy and dissatisfied with her life. Gloria Mallette's Latest novel, Living, Breathing Lies. Is filled with the family and life drama her readers have come to expect from her. And her latest novel is no exception. In Living, Breathing Lies A woman is forced to live for seventeen years with the guilt of being blamed for someone's lie. | NEW WRITER |
In my ten years in the business of selling Black Literature, I have seen some of my customer go on to become writers. And I know of some who have had family members who became writers. Such is the case here. This new writer Norman R. Colson, is the son of a very good customer of mine. Michelle called me one day all excited to announce that her son had published his first novel. I promised her that It would be featured on the Soul on Wheels website. This is a story of two people coming to terms with their lives. One a married woman caught up in a marriage that is going nowhere fast, And a young man in search of love after a disastrous relationship. The Hunger, is a contemporary novel of self discovery, and our constant search for acceptance and love. This is a story we all can relate to by events in our live or the live of those close to us. Norman Colson, has made an excellent entrance into the world of Black literature.
