During the course of the struggle of African people against European racism, brutality and domination, many innovative thinkers have risen from our ranks. The greatest and most courageous scholars have devoted their lives to the pursuit of an explanation for the virtually inherent animosity most white people appear to have toward people of color. Unlike her predecessors, Dr. Francis Cress Welsing, a brilliant, Washington, D.C. psychiatrist has rejected conventional notions about the origin and perpetuation of racism. Dr. Welsing's theories, lectures and scientific papers have provoked controversy for over twenty years. Now the compilation of her work in The Isis Papers is destined to change the course of history.

They Came Before Columbus

Title:They Came Before Columbus
Author:Ivan Van Sertima

List Price:$25.00

With this scene, Ivan Van Sertima reveals to us a compelling, dramatic and superbly detailed documentation of the presence and legacy of Black Africans in Ancient America. With his considerable scholarship, Sertima examines the facts of navigation and shipbuilding. The scores of cultural analogies found nowhere else except in America, Africa, African languages and transportation of plants, cloth and animals from the diaries, letters and journals of the explorers themselves; from Carbon-14 dated sculptures found in the Americas; from Arabic documents, charts, maps; from the recorded tales of the griots to the Kings of Mali; from dated skeletons found as recently as 1975.
Mr. Van Sertima has the skill of a novelist, and with it re-creates some of the most powerful scenes history has to offer, the launching of the great ships of Mali in 1310(200 master boats and 200 supply boats); the sea expedition of the Mandingo king himself in 1311, and many others. It is the marriage of these twin crafts—the artist’s and the scholar’s – in the book that makes it possible for us to see clearly the unmistakable face and handprint of Black Africans in Pre-Columbian America, and their overwhelming impact on the civilization they found here.

African-Centered Consciousness v.The New World Order

Title:Afrikan-Centered Consciousness v. The New World Order
Author:Amos N. Wilson
# of pages:135
List Price:$13.00
Buy Now: $13.00

In the masterful lectures contained within the pages of this modest text, Dr. Wilson challenges the all too pervasive assumption and false perception that the "New World
Order" is somehow ordained-that if Afrikan people are to progress, they have no other alternative but to remain colonized by White-Western interests. This of course is patently false. Dr. Wilson debunks this myth with an insightful analysis of the Legacy of Marcus Garvey and the proven validity of Afrikan-Centered Consciousness as necessary psychological and material tools in the struggle for true liberation.
A master teacher, Dr. Wilson puts forth his argument in a way that informs the general reader, and simultaneously reduces the much touted strategic thinking of the proponents of the New World order to the mere newspeak it really is.

Black Labor, White Wealth is a search for solutions and practical courses of action that blacks can take to become politically and economically competitive in America. Dr. Anderson examines the methods whites used to gain power, but more importantly, he provides examples of ways blacks can adopt some of those same methods to build wealth and power for themselves. Black labor, White Wealth is a financial blueprint for the future of Black economic empowerment.

Seize the Time

Title:Seize the Time

Seize The Time was first published more than twenty years ago. I tape recorded and wrote most of this book under the strain of being a political prisoner in the San Francisco County Jail in 1969 and 1970. At the time, most protest organizations, particularly anti-war and civil rights groups, were targeted for attacks by all levels of government. Seize The Time was published while I was incarcerated and a defendant in two major political trials-consecutive, racist, political trials that I eventually won.
I am often told that Seize The Time is a 1960's protest-era classic. Whether it is indeed a classic or not, I am uncertain. However, I am certain that the Black Panther Party For Self-defense, as it was originally called, founded during that era and depicted in this book, remains a classic example of African and African American people's age-old resistance to racism and class oppression.

DID YOU KNOW THAT...
* African American inventors designed the traffic light, the gas mask, and the first railroad telegraph system...
* An African American doctor performed the first open-heart surgery...
* An African American explorer reached the North Pole before Admiral peary...
* A gorgeous African American entertainer won the French Legion of Honor for bravery in World War II...

Excluded from the history books, overlooked in the classroom, and neglected in the media, African Americans have long been denied an accurate picture of their contributions to our nation from colonial days to the present. Now after mining old documents, records, letters, family histories and government files, this authoritative resource book reveals over 450 "firsts" by African Americans, wonderful accomplishments achieved often despite poverty, discrimination, and racism.
Leaders in government, entertainment, education, science and medicine, the law, military and in the business world. African Americans have made their mark. Now with AFRICAN AMERICAN FIRSTS, we can see how very high has been their reach and how very great their honors.
